1-100 Dice

AGE:  6 and up (knowledge of numbers and counting to 100 needed)

# OF PLAYERS:  2 to 6

MATERIALS:  2 dice, paper or index card, pen or pencil (per group)

 IN MOTION:

Each group sits in a circle. Give each group a set of materials.

One player begins by rolling the dice. Then they pass the dice to the next player who rolls, and so on.

If a player rolls doubles, all players shout, “Doubles!” and the player who rolled them begins writing 1 2 3 4 5 6… on their paper as high as they can go, as play continues. The player continues, ignoring all else, until another player rolls doubles – at which point they must stop as the new player begins writing (beginning at number 1 as well, on their own paper/index card).

If no player rolls doubles, play passes over the writer until someone does roll doubles.

When a player rolls doubles a second time, they begin counting from where they left off, i.e. 7, 8, 9, 10…

The first player to reach 100 wins!
